Your Data – Privacy & GDPR

This a summary of what I do with your data in order to run my business and provide customers with services.

I may collect, use, store, and transfer a variety of personal information about you when you engage with me. To collect this data, I must have a legal grounds to do so.

The information I collect may include your name, address, telephone number(s), email address(es), date of birth, and health information. All of the information I collect & hold will have been provided by you.

I keep a record of any electronic communications with you. If I wish to use a testimonial you have given me or an image taken of our practice where you are identifiable, or if our practice has taken place in your space, I will obtain written consent which can be revoked by you at any time.


Personal data, or personal information, is any information about an individual from which that person can be identified; it doesn’t include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous or anonymised data).


How do I use your data?

I use your information to provide you with updates and services, to understand your needs & improve the services I offer, and for the day-to-day running of my business.  I also use it to comply with the laws & regulations that apply to us and to protect my business and customers.

Your rights

  • I will never sell your information onto third parties
  • I will keep your data only for the period required by the law or my regulators (whichever is greater).  When this time has passed, I will destroy or delete your data as appropriate
  • You have a number of legal rights with regard to your data; this includes the right to request a copy of all data held by me, to request that any mistakes and inaccuracies are corrected, and to request that I stop processing some or all of your personal data for any reason

If you request all of your data to be removed, this will result in an end to our working relationship.

I hope any issue or query that you may have can be resolved by contacting me but if not, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (with whom I’m registered).

How I ensure the safety of your data

All of your data is held securely on my business systems, and is not shared with others unless there is a business need (e.g. when I contract a third party to supply services to you, such as payment processing, class booking, and cloud services to send emails).

If required, I may need to disclose your details to specialist advisors, regulatory bodies, the police, or legal advisors; this does not affect your legal rights with regards to your data. If this happens, I will take steps to ensure that your personal data is handled safely, securely, and in accordance with your rights, my obligations, and the third party’s obligations under the law.

Please note that these terms and conditions and my policies will not apply to other websites that you get to via a link from my services. I have no control over how your data is collected, stored or used by other websites and advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before providing any data to them.
