What to expect
Each class follows the Frog Lotus Yoga vinyāsa style – beginning with prāṇāyāma (“breathwork”) to settle the nervous system, before warming gently through the joints & muscles, then building through sūrya namaskāra (sun salutations) into a full sequence of āsana (postures). We’ll move through a range of standing postures, backbends, forward bends, hip openers and twists, before winding down and closing in śavāsana (final rest AKA corpse pose).
This class isn’t about how the pose looks, it’s about how it feels and what it does for your nervous system.
Rest & Rise is queer woman owned & operated, and registered with the Safe Space Alliance – everyone is welcome here, exactly as they are.
Who it’s for
Anyone who’s sensitive, overstimulated, or simply tired of wellness spaces that ask more of you than they give back. No experience needed; no “skill level” required to belong.
Bring
Yourself – the most important part – however you are on the day; mats, blocks, and straps will be provided, but if you have your own mat you’re welcome to bring it as well as any additional props you usually use; always wear whatever clothes you’ll be comfortable to move in on the day.
